The client wanted top-tier wholesale talent, but the strongest candidates were already successful in established firms with strong market reputations. As the client was relatively unknown in the UK wholesale channel, the opportunity required candidates to take a leap of faith.

Solution

We created an information pack outlining the client’s market proposition, helping reassure candidates that the offering would be attractive to their investor portfolio. We also ensured key decision-makers were involved early in the interview process, demonstrating C-suite buy-in. Through detailed screening, we identified candidates with a proven build-out background or an entrepreneurial mindset.

Results

We delivered a realistic and motivated shortlist, secured the placement, and the successful hire has since grown the company’s UK AUM considerably while also building out a team.
